upped my time!

So i have rheumatoid arthritis. I have had it for ten years now. I have learned to know my limits and what my body can take. I love to run , but it is very hard on your body especially at my weight. My sister suggested i take a look at Jeff Gallaoways website. He is a trainer/runner. He kinda perfected the run/walk technique. the theory behind it is when you run your body builds up lactic acid, which is what can make your muscles sore if not properly worked out. he suggests that you walk and run in intervals. I do a 4 min run 1 min walk. It has totally worked for me and my arthritis i am never sore no matter how long i go as long as i keep up the run/walk intervals. well today i bumped it up to 5 run 1 walk and i feel good. If you are considering and want to start running but don't know where to start check out his site at http://www.jeffgalloway.com/ . My BFF and her brother in LA run marathons all the time using this technique. He has 5k training schedules and 10 k and marathon. Any ran 3.6 miles today felt really great! love being outside!

I like this idea. I like to run in 5Ks so maybe I'll try it to get ready for my 5K happening next month.
Way to go!
